Equine Therapy  

 

French Camp Academy serves their students through equine assisted counseling. Through working with horses, guided by a counselor trained in horsemanship, students not only learn how to work with the animal but they also learn a lot about themselves. Horses mirror the underlying emotional state of the person working with them. This gives the counselor direction for where students are emotionally, as well as where to begin in helping them process their emotions. These sessions provide students with confidence, control of their emotions and real-world application for working through the issues the may have.
